Founded in 2013, HONK is led by Founder and CEO Michael Back, who brings over 20 years of experience in the payments industry. Guided by Michael’s vision, our passionate team works tirelessly to make parking a seamless part of every journey.
Our Origin Story
A game, a dad and a mission
It all began with a father’s desire to share a baseball game with his son – a core memory marred by a frustrating hunt for a parking spot. Michael’s disappointment at missing the opening innings while he searched for parking sparked a resolution: find a way to make sure parking doesn’t detract from life’s moments, but enhances them.
This personal mission became the cornerstone of HONK, inspiring us to transform parking with innovation, empathy and a dash of fun.
